KingsGate’s approach to energy efficiency is providing customers with the most sustainable solutions yielding the greatest return and reduction in carbon footprint. As part of our commitment we seek the leading energy efficient programs available with a goal of providing savings outside of our products alone. Solutions provided in several markets from residential, commercial/ industrial, to the small business owner efficiency programs are available. KingsGate is equipped with a network of partners and affiliates seeking local, state, and government infusions in the form of tax incentives, utility rebates, and federal tax deductions offering a full-service management solution. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provide substantial incentives and funding for all branches of energy efficiency from lighting, solar, HVAC and general improvements. One program of the ARRA is the 179- D tax deduction; a tax deduction of $1.80 per square foot is available to owners of new or existing buildings who install (1) interior lighting; (2) building envelope, or (3) heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems that reduce the building’s total energy and power consumption. Deductions of $0.60 per square foot are available to owners of buildings in which individual lighting, building envelope, or heating and cooling systems meet target levels that would reasonably contribute to an overall building savings. The Business Energy Investment Tax Credit (ITC) is obtained as a tax credit of 30% of the system cost available for solar electric (PV) systems. In addition to federal incentives, companies are eligible for a substantial rebate through utility providers. Individuals and companies can explore utility incentives from the (DSIRE) Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency. Our procurement team will handle all aspects of the process for energy efficient programs from obtaining all forms needed to processing at a rapid rate, resulting in further savings quickly. |
